Certified Mail®
Certified Mail® is a domestic mail service which provides the sender with a mailing receipt and electronic verification that an article was delivered or that a delivery attempt was made. The legally-recognized proof of delivery record (copy of the recipient’s signature) is kept at the USPS® Post Office™ two years from the date of mailing. Certified Mail is often used for compliance and regulatory requirements, where being able to provide evidence or proof that a Certified Mail letter was sent is important.
Lorton Data’s Certified Mail® solution provides the data and documentation needed to produce First Class™ Certified letters and flats up to 13 oz. The Certified Mail process can be combined with ZIP+4® or NCOALink® processing.
